They do say that the problem with Lapland is not that there is too little light in winter but that there is to much light in summer!
There are photographs in the gallery that were taken close to midnight around midsummer's day. It is never really totally dark then - flocks of birds are feeding at 4.00am and the magpies, jays and woodpeckers are all active & noisy then too.
